TRADES CERTIFICATION AND EMPLOYEE TRAINING

Grandview Blacktop Ltd. is affiliated with several recognized trades unions. Each one, along with the Industry Training Authority (ITA), ensures that workers have the skill sets, qualifications, and experience necessary to earn certification. The ITA manages the apprenticeship system and certifies skilled tradespeople in BC.

 

Each employee works through an accredited apprenticeship program before they can be certified by the ITA as Red Seal Trade Craft, Asphalt Laydown Technician, or Heavy Equipment Operator.

 

Even once an employee is certified, training doesn’t stop. We offer further training in First Aid Certification, Confined Space, and New Equipment and Technology Upgrading Programs. We make sure to employ people who have the knowledge and experience to remain at the vanguard of the industry and have the continued support to be at the top of their trade.
